Currently we have political issues with our Southern Neighbor of Mexico as the country is telling people to come over the borders illegally and send money back home. Meanwhile this strategy has worked good for Mexico with an incredible economic growth rate. But it has not been so good for the United States.

You see 80 hospitals have closed in California alone and 38% of the criminals in Arizonas prisons are illegal aliens. The Federal Prisons in the US are a 33% illegal aliens now. Also we have a huge drug and gang problem with the notorious MS-13 Gangs too. Now illegal aliens are marching in our streets with demands for legal status and benefits?

Next Mexico will be sending us their drug addicts too; say what? That is right because Mexico is going to legalize illegal drugs in their nation. Oh great, there goes the neighborhood said one mayor of a very large city, which borders Mexico.

This issue was recently brought up in an online think tank when one member Swift from Las Vegas stated; Our government, however, seems to let Mexico interfere in our politics a lot more than should be allowed. Since drugs are Mexico's unofficial top industry, I think that even if Vinnie [President Vincent Fox of Mexico] backs down from this stance, there will come a time when this will happen. Fox is only going to be in office until July 1 of this year; and if a more socialistic president is elected, particularly one who will attempt the same type of social programs the Mayor of Mexico City did, the money will have to come from somewhere.

Is Mexico going to legalize drugs and then tax it and expect to boost its tourism trade with drug tourists from the United States? Oh my gosh this has serious ramification indeed as Americans go to Mexico to try Opium, Heroine, Cocaine, Meth and the most deadly and addicting drugs on the Planet. Not good?

But when you have questionable neighbors, well what can one expect? Mexico is a third world country and they seem to be more interested in joining the First World at our expense and not as our friendly neighbors? Is this what NAFTA had in mind with free and fair trade; I just dont think so. Consider this in 2006?
