Build Our Own Ships and Run Our Own Ports Say Dubai Deal Critics

At least one political blogger is saying that we should build our own ships and run our own ports, as the answer to port security. Indeed that would work and put Americans to work building ships and revitalize old industries. The political blogger calls this his answer to issues with the Dubai World Deal and further states:

Wouldn't that make us not only less dependent but create good paying jobs that according to many articles I have read "the jobs that are being created are not good paying jobs", while tightening up border [and port] security at the same time?

Sound like a great plan yet what about all the over regulation in all the industries from mining the iron ore to make the ships to the regulations in the ship building industry? Speaking from experience now and after the way I have been treated in business by regulators I would not be surprised if the business world said; Let the people starve to death, screw them, they do not care about American businesses, why should American Businesses care about them.

Indeed if you look at the citizens and their brain washing from mass media hysteria and watch their antics and listen to them, it seems as if all they do is complain, piss and moan, call us business people criminals and want more laws to restrict us from delivering what they are demanding in the first place, then they complain about price, when the price is so high, because off all the lawsuits and rules and regulations? So then you ask what is the answer?

Well here is what you do; first you kill all the lawyers, then cut the number of politicians by to 1/3 of the present number. Next you teach people how civilizations run and stop attacking America's greatest assets. As far as shipbuilding the over regulations has chased half the companies away. Look at the Auto Industry; and today what happed? Another bankruptcy this time an Ohio based auto parts maker, a big one. They are killing us [business community and industry], the supply chain from mining the raw materials to end products like Autos, ships, airliners, etc. What do they expect? Silly humans.

And as for the Dubai Deal; well look someone has to run the ports and it is a thankless job, I did not see any US Companies lining up to buy out the former British Company running things. You know why? American Companies know better after all when it comes to security look how the TSA screwed over general aviation and the airlines. Then how the mass media hysteria after 9-11 and all the rules and regulations has already sunk three airlines and with high oil prices you can expect two more. Consider all this in 2006.
